Sexy Steak is the name of the concept going into the space at 1942 Grand River Avenue, Detroit Free Press reports. Signs donning the name have appeared in the windows of the castle-esque building, according to the news outlet.

The steakhouse is expected to be open by the end of 2023 or early 2024. A smaller concept called Sexy Burger will be housed in the space as well, taking the place of the former Parks and Rec Diner, along with private dining and event space.

West Bloomfield-based Prime Concepts Detroit is the team behind the concept. The hospitality group that began with Prime29 Steakhouse in 2012 is also the team behind NARA Sushi & Hibachi Steakhouse, PAO, Aurora Italiana and the Wabeek Country Club.

Barbat Holdings, the parent company of Prime Concepts Detroit, purchased the Grand Army of the Republic Building earlier this year.

Several representatives from Prime Concepts Detroit could not be immediately reached for comment.
