Farmington residents Mary and David O’Connor, a husband-and-wife team, are the geniuses behind Chocolate Chipped Bakery’s delicious cookies and treats. According to the Hometown Life coverage, O’Conner plans to serve eight cookie flavors daily in the Farmington store. The store will also carry brownies and seasonal fruit cobblers.

“About 6 months ago, Derek and I started quietly looking for a permanent space where we could transform our dream of a storefront into a reality. In mid-January, we were made aware that this location had become available. Immediately, we toured it, and decided right there and then that it was perfect,” O’Connor said in a Facebook post.

Classic and fan-favored flavors of the company, according to its Etsy store, include standard chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal butterscotch, and M&M Cookies. The bakery also offers vegan and gluten-free chocolate chip variations. The restaurant is aiming to open in early summer. Until then, impatient cookie lovers can find Chocolate Chipped Bakery at Farmington Farmer’s Market.

“We look forward to seeing our returning customers, and meeting new faces, as well. Until then, we’ll keep ticking away at our future location, with a goal of being open in early summer,” the business said in a Facebook post.

O’Connor had not replied to What Now Detriot‘s email request for comments by the time of this coverage.
