Col’s Space closed its Madison Heights restaurant in October. One closure seems to lead to a new chapter as owner Sokol Ndrejaj has decided to take over the former space of Inn Season Cafe at 500 E 4th St. The new restaurant, named Fourth Street Restaurant, is anticipated to open this August.

Inn Season Cafe has remained closed since 2020 for remodeling but officially announced its permanent closure last fall. The space caught Ndrejaj’s eyes since he had closed the Madison Heights Col’s around the same time.

Col’s Space shared the good news on its Facebook page, stating, “[a]fter a heartfelt goodbye, we’re thrilled to announce our return with immense joy and enthusiasm! The last day at Col’s was tough, but we knew it wasn’t a farewell. We’ve taken over the former Inn Season Cafe location and are excited to share our big plans with you.”

While the old Inn Season Cafe catered to vegans and vegetarians, Four Street Restaurant will have a more diverse menu that offers everyone a good bite. “This will be a family-owned venture, and we promise to treat our extended family with the same love and attention you’ve always received,” Col’s Place said, adding that the new restaurant will feature “a slightly tweaked menu” and “a fantastic bar.

The upcoming restaurant will open for lunch, dinner, and brunch services. Col’s Space will continue to operate its other Royal Oak restaurant at 2600 W. 14 Mile Rd.
