The upcoming location is owned and operated by one of the largest Yum! Brands™ family multi-unit franchisees in the Midwest: Team Lyders (formerly Sundance, Inc). Under the leadership of CEO Peter Lyders Peterson, the company owns over 200 stores in six states, including Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin with more planned on the horizon.

Spring Arbor Township Supervisor Dave Herlein told MLive that a Taco Bell has been a popular request from Spring Arbor University students and township residents. “Township residents have told me they’re looking for more shopping options, more eating options,” Herlein said.

Peterson told What Now Detroit over the phone that the company now anticipates opening the Spring Arbor location by the end of October, adding the company “is always looking for new opportunities.” The new 2,052-square-foot restaurant will come with indoor seating and drive-through capabilities. While construction is in progress, Team Lyders has already started hiring for management, training, and staff positions.
