As of April, West Bloomfield Township Planning Commission records indicate Z’s Bubble Tea worked on opening a temporary storage space at the same address while the new store is under construction. A google business profile listing has also been created for the new location, though no opening date was specified.

Z’s Bubble Tea is a family-owned and -operated boba tea chain with other locations in Dearborn Heights East and West, Downtown Plymouth, and Taylor. West Bloomfield will be this chain’s fourth location. The company is overseen by Fadi Ashkar, while other members of the Ashkar family help with operations at different locations.

What Now Detroit reached out to the Ashkar family for comments, but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
