The new Dime Store location will be in Papa Joe’s Gourmet Market Plaza. The opening date is currently unannounced, however, according to a post on the Dime Store Facebook page the owners are set to have updates on the specifics soon.

Dime Store’s brand new spot will be two times the size of its current downtown Detroit location, as stated on its website news page. With the space being larger it will have more seating space, lesser wait times, and a larger kitchen.

Head chef George Sleator will be partnering with ownership to create a new menu with some of the classics from the brick-and-mortar along with new additions such as Tso’s Benny, which is a twist on General Tso’s chicken, a Chinese take-out classic, and an eggs benedict. Due to the larger kitchen size, Sleator can take on a larger menu with items that can’t be executed at the original smaller location.
