The proposed restaurant and winery is located at 17117 Laurel Park Dr. Once built, the full-service restaurant will occupy approximately 11,000 square feet. Indoor seating will hold up to 260 patrons. An outdoor patio with additional 40 seats will be built on the east side of the building, adjacent to the bar. The building’s main entrance will face Six Mile Road.

Copper’s Hawk is a full-service restaurant and winery chain based in Illinois. According to the company’s website, the chain currently has four locations in Michigan in Clinton Township, Kentwood, Lansing, and Troy. Founded in 2005 by CEO Tim McEnery, Copper’s Hawk has won over 500 wine awards from various local, national, and international competitions, whereas the restaurants boast an extensive, carefully crafted menu, gluten-free options, and friendly pricing.

According to planning materials, developers are hoping to begin demolishing before the end of this year. The other stand-alone restaurant proposed in the same project will be a Capital Grille.
