Since its launch in August, Highline Spirits has received positive feedback on its four limited-edition flagship products, including bourbon whiskey, triple rye whiskey, straight Kentucky whiskey and American whiskey.

Owned by long-time Dexter resident Christi Lower, Highline Spirits breaks the unspoken taboo of whiskey blending in the industry and creates extraordinary spirits through state-of-the-art distilling and fearless experimentation.

“Our goal was to inspire others to believe in themselves, follow their curiosity, cast out doubt, and do things their way. This isn’t easy, but beyond fear and uncertainty is where you discover more,” the spirit brand’s website indicates.

While Highline Spirits have gained popularity quickly among the crowd, Lower admits that the journey hasn’t always been easy. From the beginning, Lower envisioned a fully transparent spirits company unrestricted by tradition, history or heritage. As a trailblazer in a male-dominated industry, Lower accredits her success to her community and her dedicated team. Joining forces with hospitality veteran Kate Arbor, Highline Spirits’ Director of Operations, and experienced warehouse and supply chain manager Kate Keister, Lower is on her way to breaking down barriers, challenging norms and redefining the spirits industry.

The new Dexter tasting room will be located at 3126 Broad St., suite 102, formerly the Encore Musical Theatre building. The anticipated 2,400-square-foot suite will feature a spacious interior, indoor and outdoor cocktail bars with seasonal craft cocktail menus, a retail setup to purchase spirits by the bottle, and an outside patio. The tasting room will host tasting classes and food trucks on certain nights to bring more dimension to the experience.

Lower is also planning on a second tasting room in Plymouth. At the time of reporting, a representative from Highline Spirits was not available for immediate commentary.
