According to the application, Qazzaz Coffee plans to remodel the building to include a coffee shop, coffee roasting area, and storage area for coffee products and distribution. The coffee shop will occupy approximately 1,700 square feet. 2,318 square feet will be used for roasting, and the remaining 2,100 square feet will be used for storage. The coffee shop will also include a drive-through lane. The indoor dining area contains twelve seats. An outdoor patio containing nine additional seats is proposed by the exit area.
Qazzaz Coffee was founded by Palestinian American Mohammad Qazzaz, who roasts coffee freshly every day at its first location at 6908 Wyoming St in Dearborn. The company features its signature Abu Dawood Turkish Coffee, a strong dark roast. The coffee shop also carries a Premium House Roast, which is a combination of various gourmet beans and a light Morning Roast.
