The upcoming Paris Baguette location will occupy an approximately 3,000-square-foot space. The upcoming bakery is being opened by franchisees Krishna Ramamoorthy and Pramod Patnam.
“Paris Baguette combines the timeless charm of Old-World European delights with the precision and artistry of Asian craftsmanship. Together, they create an extraordinary culinary experience, offering patrons the perfect harmony of tradition and innovation in every bite that they savor,” said the franchisees in the release.
Both Ramamoorthy and Patnam are both IT industry veterans and serial entrepreneurs. Ramamoorthy, who immigrated to the US in 2006 and moved to Detroit in 2009, has released 6 Indian movies during his time there. Ramamoorthy moved to Canada in 2012 and returned to the US in 2022.
“While on an European trip strolling through Paris, we realized that the small bakeries that we went into had such an ethereal feel with an old world charm, that we wanted to replicate the same model here – The best way to do that was to partner with Paris Baguette and that is how we began,” said Ramamoorthy.
Patnam started his career by founding a startup in India in 2008. After immigrating to the US, Patnam was a silent partner for the “Makers of Milkshakes” franchise in California and stepped away from the business due to the pandemic’s impact.
“We are vegan foodies as well and are always game to try new food. What unites us with Krishna’ s Family is our common love for food, specifically baked goods!” Patnam told What Now Detroit in an email.
The Novi Paris Baguette is anticipated to open in June 2025.
