Melissa Kleehammer and Paul Fisette are the operators behind the upcoming pizzeria. According to materials submitted to the planning commission, Carlo’s Pizza will open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
“We had been on the hunt for a location that would infringe on the other Carlo’s locations. This location was available as an asset sale. Having known the Franchise holder for a few years, they graciously agreed on the new location,” said Kleehammer in an email.
Family-owned and operated since 1972, Carlo’s Pizza has its flagship location in Harrison Township, off Jefferson Ave. The menu offers build-your-own pizzas in thin crust, hand-tossed crust, or Chicago-style deep dish alongside a handful of specialty pizzas, such as Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Alfredo, and Carolo’s Deluxe. The menu also includes calzones, subs, fresh salads, dinner plates, and the signature Carlo’s cheesy bread.
While awaiting final commission approval, the operators are planning a soft opening on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
