Though a first-time restaurant owner, Fish told What Now Detroit that he felt confident taking over the Saginaw staple as his family has owned many restaurants for generations.

“My aunt has been asking me to take over the restaurant for years. I’ve never owned a restaurant before, but I’ve always been around my family’s businesses. And it’s nice since my aunt and everyone else is still here to help me transition. If I need any help, they’re around.” Fish told What Now Detroit over the phone.

Fish mentioned that he is making a few changes to the menu, including adding a smash burger and some wraps, establishing nightly specials such as Mexican night and Greek night. A brand new weekly Greek dinner special is also being developed, which will feature a rotating menu of specialty Greek dishes each week. Fish also plans to expand the dinner menu, host more events and pop-ups, and actively participate in the farmer’s market in the future.

Fuzzy’s is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. While the restaurant is best known for the scoops and the breakfast dishes, the menu actually features a wide range of homemade dishes, bread, and pies suitable for lunch, dinner, or frankly, anytime throughout the day.
