D Dogs (Daya Dogs), a new restaurant featuring fresh made hot dogs, homemade chili, and macaroni & cheese with various customizations, is coming to Holland in February. The upcoming fast-casual eatery is filing the space at 12719 Riley Street, which was previously a Spectrum store.

“We are not going to claim to be the best Hot Dog establishment because we want you to be the judge. We make our chili and mac and cheese fresh every day and it is fabulous. If you are like us, you love a great American classic that will keep you coming back for more,” the restaurant states on its website.
The restaurant’s menu features many gourmet hot dogs, such as the iconic D Dog (chili cheese), the Dirty Dog (grilled onions and pickles), even a macaroni and cheese hot dog called the Weiner Dog. Customers can also go Doggie Style and build their own by choosing between plain or poppy buns, the type of hot dog, and a wide range of toppings and condiments.
In mid-December, Owner Richard Claypool posted interior renovation progress photos on his Facebook with anticipated opening information.
“D Dogs restaurant opening beginning of February in the Riley plaza. Check out the construction updates on our Facebook page. Here are some quick glances. We hope you can come visit us in February,” the post said.
What Now Detroit reached out to Claypool but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
