“We started looking for a new location because we’ve slowly grown out of our current space. We started booking shows at the shop this year and really wanted something bigger so we can have a higher capacity for guests to come in,” Vass told What Now Detroit over the phone, emphasizing wanting to stay in the same area was another reason for choosing the Warner Building location.

Voss mentioned that their lease for the current space runs through the end of December, which creates the perfect window for the business to wrap up and prepare for the new venture. Currently, Voss is getting ready to renovate the space and bring her vision to life.

“It has really been a wonderful experience so far. My landlord is also my engineer, and he has been so helpful with the permitting process. This will take some time, but I’m hoping to open the coffee shop and event space both in early February. We definitely want to do some opening shows in the first or second month of opening,” said Vass, adding that she plans to host movie nights, game nights, and gallery shows as well.
