Ferndale-based Lone Light Spirits is working on opening a new tasting room at 23622 Farmington Rd in downtown Farmington. Facade improvement designs for new, openable windows were submitted to the Farmington Planning Commission last month. The tasting room is anticipated to open next spring.
“The tasting room will be a full cocktail bar utilizing our premium spirits as well as other fresh ingredients,” Owner Joe Lordon said in a Hometown Life article. “We’ll be serving spirits by the glass or people can get a tasting flight. The tasting room will not only have our flagship products, but we’ll also be doing some tasting room exclusives.”
While the tasting room will offer some bar snacks, there won’t be a full kitchen. Instead, visitors are allowed to bring their own food while sipping on iconic Lone Light Spirits products. Located in the heart of downtown Farmington’s social district, the upcoming tasting room hopes to complement existing local businesses with a rotating seasonal menu of tasting room exclusives, craft cocktails, and alcohol-free mocktail options.
“Not only are all of these businesses fantastic, but it’s great that the social district really allows for additional sales for the surrounding businesses,” Lordon told Hometown Life. “I think having these breweries, the winery that’s coming and the other bars and restaurants helps turn Farmington into a destination.”
